From the Land of General Conference a week late, but just as great!

Something of a blessing!:

General conference this last sunday was crazy with the amount of investigators we had attending. we had to go all the way to Wan Chai, which is about 45 minutes away and we had to figure out how to get everyone there without getting lost. thank goodness the mission had just given us a cell phone! wahoo! blessings and miracles! we had been so busy all week getting our investigators ready to hear the prophet and apostles speak that i didn't have any time to prepare myself!! the morning of i wrote down all the concerns/questions i've had lately along with all the names of our investigators and their concerns. i felt so unprepared and that i hadn't thought enough about what i wanted to get our of conference because we have been so busy lately. luckily, the Lord is merciful and aware of our efforts, because every question or concern i had quickly written down was answered and addressed in some way or another and many of our investigator's concerns were as well. it was amazing!!! i was so thankful to the Lord and to all the leaders of the church, as they try so hard to follow the spirit to know what to teach us.

Some things to ask myself:

here are some of the main points that stuck out to me at conference that i want to ask myself everyday!
-Did I do a simple act of service for someone else today?
-Is love at the center of everything I do?
-How is the condition of my heart today?
-Remember that you are a messenger sent from God!

some things to write down:

I was also inspired to act on several other things like starting a personal revelation book to have at my bedside and with me at all times. as a missionary, you get a lot of inspiration to act on or ideas that just come to your mind. sometimes the hard part is remembering it at the end of the day or the next morning so you can act on it and make it happen! so, i'm going to write it all down so i can't forget!

something I want the world to know:

Elder Holland's stirring testimony of the Book of Mormon prompted me to make my testimony of its truthfullness known to the world as well. As a missionary, i carry the Book of Mormon with me wherever i go, share it with people on the street, MTR, bus, at church or in the homes of investigators and members. It is my constant companion and if I ever get in a situation where i'm not sure what to say or how to explain something, i know i can open its pages and find the answer i or the person i'm teaching needs. I can't tell you how many times i have seen miracles because of the Book of mormon. There have been times that i referred to it and pulled it out of my bag only because i felt the prompting and seconds later someone walks up to me and asks me what it is and where they can get a copy. There have been times when little children know what it is and know that it us special only by looking at it. There have been times when the spirit has helped me to remember certain scriptures that i didn't know before but i needed them to help someone. There have been times when my companion and i have set goals to give out a certain amount of copies of the Book of Mormon and achieved our goal only because of the Lord's guidance and the spirit. There have been times when contacting on the street has only turned for the best because i pulled out the Book of Mormon and shared my testimony of it. There have been times when i have read from its pages in personal study time and felt the Lord speak peace to my soul through its words and counsel. There have been times when it has been criticized, mocked and rejected, but i have defended it and bore pure testimony of its truthfullness and purpose and changed the hearts of those i was talking to. There have been many investigators that have found strength and peace in its pages and changed and progressed because of the truth they found within it. These experiences will continue to happen because it is true and because no one can deny it's power and purpose of bringing forth the the work of the Lord in these latter days. I want all you to know this is my testimony and that i will live and die by it if called to do so. May we all continue to go on in so great a cause is my prayer.
