From the Land of last minuteness...

Something different:

Yes! I am alive! I apologize it has been so long since I last wrote a group update! The last few weeks have been a blur, but know that i haven't forgotten you!!! And yes, today is not my usual email day, but our pday was switched this week. yea for mixing things up a bit! sometimes missionary life can be very repetitive, so i don't mind throwing in something different every once in a while to spice it up a little. however, this week has been crazy. something else commonly known in missionary work is that you have such a basic, simple schedule, but you never know what's going to happen next. especially here in Hong Kong. which brings me to...

something last minute:

so last week i was put in charge of a zone conference sisters only meeting. no big deal, just organize and delegate and the elders were going to make us dinner afterwards. well, 2 nights ago i found out that the APS heard about it and wanted to make it mission wide...so supposedly everything was still the same, just there would be 34 sisters there instead of 8....:) ha! so the last few days, in the middle of being sick and trying to teach investigators, i have been pulling off a mission wide sisters conference and organizing all the little things that go into it. it has never been done before and we are also doing a mission wide sisters 24's exchange. so much fun, but i hope i'm alive after it all...:) hee hee. i love being a missionary. working with the elders more has given me a lot more appreciation for them and all they do as leaders in the mission too. it's tonight, so hopefully everything goes ok...:)

something cold:

the weather here in Hong Kong went from summer time beautifulness to winter freezing coldness within just a few days. we are now wearing our coats and scarves and gloves outside...and inside....:) no heaters means lots of layers and lots of hot chocolate and tea!!! this probably has something to do with why i got sick. either way, it makes it feel more like christmas is coming, so i don't mind. hope you all have snow and are prepping for a fabulous thanksgiving! drink some egg nog for me!
